Identification #

This species was described in 2007 from a single location in Arunachal Pradesh, India, and since then, there have been a few sightings. It is described as having a back or dorsum that appears deep chestnut to blackish chestnut, an orange-buff underside, deep chestnut patagium, a black tail with the basal one-third deep chestnut, and black feet.


Distribution #

It is recorded only from Arunachal Pradesh in India. Records of the species are localised, limited to the Mishmi Hills in the Dibang Valley and Lower Dibang Valley districts.


Habitat #

It is recorded from 600 to 1600 metres above sea level in montane forests.
